LET'S DO SHOTS!
I did one of nyquil last night, but this morning Ima go all GGW on you and do a dayquil!

wooohoooooo!

Anyhow, the amounts of phlegm contained in my body at the moment are not the point of this post. I shall proceed...

If you've been around my spot for awhile you are familiar with my struggles with Math. You would also know that after a year in school I finally broke down and took my Math class this quarter.

Well, in all honesty, it wasn't pretty at first. My first week of school I came home and did very poorly on all my homework, did bad on the daily quizzes in class, and the outlook was bleak since my first test was the SECOND week of class.

/commercial break/
so I am sitting in bed typing this and my anna is asleep next to me, snoring a bit. She just woke up, did a big stretch and started to whisper to me:

"Mommy, I just had a really good dream."

"OOOOOH tell me!"

"I was at school, and we had a big pool in the school, so we were all swimming and laughing, and when we got out, there was A BIG PIRATE SHIP... LIKE A REAL ONE... RIGHT INSIDE OUR SCHOOL!"

"Did you get to ride on it?"

"No, but it was so awesome mommy, it even moved like a real pirate ship, and the pool was so big and deep, we pushed it into the pool and the pirates let us keep it!"

/end commercial break/

My math prof offers extra credit work on all tests. She gives us a review sheet to complete, and then we have to go into a math lab and take a practice test. In order for the extra credit points to count, we have to score 85% or higher on the practice test. This was a good deal for me!

I had been working really hard on my Math with a LOT of help from a friend. And when I say a lot, I mean HUGE help HUUUGGGEEE.

For instance, I come home from math class, get ALL of my homework problems wrong, I shoot an email (or a mathmail as it has come to be known), that makes no sense cause I'm retarded, over to this friend, he shoots one back and I completely understand. It's truly amazing. He has a dizzying intellect.

So, when I went in to take my practice test, I was feeling goooooooooood! I zipped right thru the test, knew how to work out every problem, cilcked submit and went over to the printer to get my score when I see...

YOUR SCORE IS 70%

I actually felt a little tear well up. How do I get a 70% after I've worked so hard?!? So, you know what I did? I didn't sulk, I TOOK THAT BITCH AGAIN!

AND I GOT A 70% AGAIN!! (did you "lol" when u read this? I did)

I couldn't keep taking the practice exam because it was time to head over for the real test. I wasn't a happy camper and I could feel the pissiness start to well up inside me. Do you ever get like that? It's like a pot boiling, and you can feel it start to rise from your gut and move it's way up to your head and if someone were to speak to you at that very moment, they would for surely die.

So what happened? Are you on the edge of your seat dying to know? Did she fail? Did she cry? Is she going to get naked and post pictures?

I think I will let my most excellent math tutor answer this one in limerick, for your enjoyment.

The first test, she was going to fail it
She decided that she would mathmail it

J worked his magic
To avoid scores so tragic

Which in the end, caused her to nail it

my first flash...
And, not the streaking kind...

I didn't design this or anything, it was just a homework assignment. I couldn't get the logo quite right (well I guess I could've, but I didn't), the L part is a lil skewed, and the shadow of the orb is a too dense, which causes my highlight to be too white.

Anyhow, a certain someone was asking me about flash (no not lynx) so I thought I'd throw this up there. So far, I'm liking it much better than Dreamweaver. We will see how I feel when I start tweening and linking etc.

catch up...
~I start school Tuesday, and both my girls go back tomorrow. Anna is going FULL TIME THIS QUARTER!

But it won't allow me to rest because I have a lot I need to accomplish by the end of the month. I actually lightened my load with school a bit so I could concentrate on finding a job. The only interesting classes I'm taking this quarter are Web Design II (Flash) and Web Authoring. Other than that I'm taking a MATH class (EEEK), Pilates and Yoga.

~I have to take some antibiotics for 7 days and I CAN'T DRINK while I'm taking them. Normally I might try and see how I do with it, but both my Doc and my Pharm told me not to, and that I'd get really sick. T likey her drinky!! And the OSU v LSU game is tomorrow!!

RIP jagerbomber... it was real.

~I had a decent NYE... it was pretty uneventful because I had just driven home from Sheila's that day. A friend of mine needed a partner in crime and convinced me to go to the Nasty Nati with her. I wasn't excited about driving on NYE, and decided to be the sober one. I'm such a wonderful friend!!

So ya, that was a blast. Everyone got home safe tho, that's what matters... right?

~I'm pluggin along in my bet w zooks. Last week I weighed (new years day) and I had lost 6lbs making a total weight loss for me of 53lbs. FIFTY THREE. That's insane. And my lawd I was so enormous I still have weight to lose!!! HOLLA!

The best part about our bet is it really did keep me in line for the holidays. I didn't have thoughts like "OH, It's Christmas, go ahead and eat 10 pieces of fudge", not that I really wanted to, but I didn't have the thoughts either.

Here's my updated pic:

And ya, I know I look like death warmed over but:

A) I hate those before and after pics where they look all unhappy and crappy in the before, then all smiley w make up on in the after... so I'm tryin to keep it real here.

B) You're not supposed to be lookin' at my face (and not those either... Jeff)

This one is just for my girls, they thought it was hilarious...

2008...
I remember when I was a kid, my friends and I figuring out how old we would all be when the year 2000 hit. My magic year 2000 number was 23, and yes, for those of you who know your math, that means I will be 31 this year.

Another little T memory is that ride at Epcot Center, showing what the future would be like (do you remember it? it was all Jetsonlike), and well, it is now the future and I do not feel like Mrs. Jetson.

When I was in the 6th grade I had my plans laid out to become the first female president...

I planned on having a college degree...

I swore I'd be out of Ohio by the time I was 23...

I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to travel...

I thought I'd be happily married with 3 kids...

I could go on, but the point is that some of this never happened, some of it I wouldn't even want anymore, and some of the greatest things I've accomplished aren't even on the list.

The awesome thing is , I'm OK with that. As crazy as my life is right now between school, career change, kids and going through all the fucked up craziness of my marriage being over; for the first time in my life, I feel completely content.

So, bring it on 2008, I'm ready for you, bitches!!
