I just played ABC poker for the most part, and stole a few blinds here and there, which i guess IS ABC poker. Final three were myself, bikerbabe and steeler247 (you can see steelers account of this at http://steel247.blogspot.com ). My goal in the final three was really to stay away from Steeler and get BikerBabe out of the turney for a few reasons:
- BkrBabe was the Chip Leader. Steeler and I had similar stack sizes, so if BkrBabe takes either of us out or cripples us, she will have an even more significant chip lead (and if it is me thats left, that could be bad). I had gotten HU with BkrBabe last week in another turney where she out chipped me 5:1 and I wasn`t looking for a similar confrontation.
- Steeler has been on top of his game lately. I like a HU challenge and quite frankly, I wanted to stomp his ass!!

Ok, so I know that doesn`t look like much, but for some reason it totally broke my mental momentum. I think it is because every hand before that had gone EXACTLY the way I thought it should and would. This also set me up (mentally) for my crippling hand. You see Steeler took me out in true Steeler fashion, called me to the river and pushed. Steeler is great at this when I dont have a hand. Anyone that I discuss poker with on a regular basis knows, when I bet I usually have the best hand, but for some reason, when I know I dont, steeler is always there to call....*wink* So, since this previous hand got me mentally off my game, I was just sitting and waiting for the hook to drop down in the water and bite... (and no, I didnt have the 9, I had bottom pair, you had middle pair)

Now, this fold might seem strange. It only left me with 2000 and some odd chips. But the fact of the matter is, the ONLY hand I could beat here was a bluff with A high or worse, so I folded hoping to catch a hand in the next few hands and get lucky.
Anyhow, good game steeler. Ive been proud of your play as of late. I dunno, maybe I never noticed or gave you credit before, but to me your game is really improving. And GOD DAMNIT do you know how to get under my skin!!! LOSER
I love poker.
